I am very upset today at work. Or rather, now, because im still in the office. Sigh. Today I witnessed how lazy some colleagues can be. They are really lazy to the point I think they are taking advangtage of me. When I was under HP, MeiChen would appreciate my work. I dont know how to describe this. But perhaps its the way she assigns work and the way she communicates with me that makes me feel obliged and at the same time willingly want to help her. Whereas for Shell the new engagement that i've been assigned to, has been pretty upsetting to me. Im fine with the heavy workload as compared to HP. But I feel sad and sometimes pissed whenever im assigned work that the seniors can do themselves. Things like printing of organisers and commencement dates and all that, HP wouldnt ask me to print all. I always thought, whoever's drafting the returns should just print themselves before they start drafting. It makes MY life easier and honestly it wouldnt cause them MUCH hassle. I know i'm only a temporary staff and that im supposed to do work for the seniors but hey if you want me to churn the returns for you asap then why are you assigning me so many administrative work which you can do yourself..? sigh. okay so I kinda got used to the part where i have to be a saigang warrior and print every single damned thing for them before they can conveniently start churning their returns. Then today, I really raged inside. Another senior told me to reprint the organisers that i've printed for her last week. Reason? she didnt like the format as she found it difficult to read. HONESTLY the difference between HER prefered format and the one i printed out are the same except hers would be more summarised, hence making it easier to read. but wtheck. The difference in my honest opinion is too minor and anal. sigh. But what to do? Im here for her to exploit. okay, i cant say anything. And another senior wanted me to print single side. I thought it was really a waste of paper to not print double side because we honestly do not need the blank page. She probably found it easier to read as well if it was single-sided. Sigh why my seniors like that :( but again, BO BIAN. just gotta suck it up. I'll just pray that these 2 months left would pass asap so i can return to school, where it isnt as 'cruel' and 'cold' as society :(
