Since i have nothing to do now at work, i might as well blog. I dont have my diary with me so i'll just blog whatever i can remember..

1) WORK
Today's the 5th day working at Deloitte already. I must say its quite an experience. I am learning so much everyday. The work we do arent exactly very interesting, nor is it boring. It's just that i dont have the interest in their content, i.e tax. Im in the tax department and all they do is computate tax concessions, prepare documents (alot) for clients, call clients for their tax briefing etc. So yeah, basically everything revolves around that. During my course of work here, i learnt alot about Singapore's tax system. its nothing like econs, where we learnt about GST as indirect taxes etc. Its more business-like i feel. We learn about the various criteria that the assignees have to meet before they can apply for tax concessions which i think is the NOR scheme. I have not done that yet so im not that sure. Then Deloitte will use some weird formulas which IRAS provides(i think) and computate the amount of tax these assignees have to pay and stuff. There's really so much to learn about tho not exactly very interesting but oh well, adds on to general knowledge i guess. So for this past week, we have attended two training sessions for two mornings where we were 'lectured' about the singapore income tax system etc. They also taught us how to use the tracker, some mega database where its accessible to all involving parties, including the assignee's host country's own Deloitte. sheez bad english. For the first day, Janice's aunt brought us to Amoy market (hawker) for lunch. The lunch crowd is omg i have nothing to say man. And the way people chope thier seats is pretty humorous. Its always either tissue paper packets/umbrellas. It was Amoy for the second day as well. For the third day, Jan, Chng Yan and i got sick of the crowd so we had subway instead. haha. Ohhh, Chny Yan is another temp working at Deloitte. There are like 30+ temps in total. The guys are 2 years older than us and have finished serving NS. Yesterday, we had lunch with 4 other male colleagues and they brought us to Maxwell market. It was less crowded there tho further from our office. Okay, im thinking of paragraphing cus this paragraph looks a little too long. but aiya, heck. Going to work in the morning via the MRT is really unplesant. The trains are always packed to the maximum where you have physical contact with everyone directly around you. Im always treated to all kinds of smells (i wouldnt use scent)throughout my journey :( Today's Friday. I cant wait for dinner tonight. We're finally meeting everyone again :) Its gonna be dinner as Astons and dessert at Ben and Jerrys using the $80 voucher Janice won from the lucky draw during prom. hehe.

speaking of Ben and Jerrys, they called me again for the interview haha. I missed their call and they emailed me. But, oopsy, Im employed already :)

I cant wait for Saturday as well! Gonna head for some badminton playing with June Ashley Almeric and others :) Then its steamboat at night! :D cant wait!!

Now that we're all working, its really difficult to meet up :( i miss my classmates so so much. I miss ALL of us in our mini classroom at the end where we have so much retarded moments. For example, squatting down to pretend whenever Mrs Toh asks us to clean the classroom, or saying its econs period whenever she asks for our next period, which always happens to be break tsk. hahaha. Fond memories which i will always, always hold on to.

2)Huilak's house
Went to HuiLak's house in JB to stay over on last Saturday. It was amazing. I mean his house. Its like a freaking mansion and his dog is hugeeee! but beautiful :) He has this entertainment room, solely for movies, games etc. Its already bigger than my living room -.- haha imagine that man! So the guys got drunk, we played mahjiong and well, food. Didnt do much but i had fun with Jan :)

okay, this post shall end here before my boss sees me blogging heh. Imma go look for him now...
